Looks like Keeneth Bartley is trying to get his confession thrown out again. Tommy Owens is apealing to the Supreme court on the Baby Haley case. Thoughts from the gallery?

Bartley should never see the light of day I have a very deep concern with the Bartley case because Mr. Bruce was not only a science teacher and football coach to me, but he was a good friend to me as well. I could always go to him when I had a problem, and I hated to hear what happened. I miss him a lot, I really do. But, I dont think that is fair at all. I know the kid has committed a horrible act, and there is some kind of punishment in order - but you have to keep in mind all the factors concerning the situation. For one, the kid has issues - serious mental issues. Granted this shouldnt be considered an excuse for such action, but they are a consideration when implementing appropriate punishments. Two, he is just a kid! You are talking about locking away a kid for the rest of his life, because of a mistake he made. Granted, it is a serious mistake, but he is still young enough to be saved. He isnt like these people who commit these acts in their adult years and know better. Those people we have to consider if they CAN be saved - a kid can always be saved because they are still developing into an "individual." I really think we have to look at the past and be good christian people about this and forgive him. He still deserves a punishment, but that punishment should not be to "never see the light of day" again. I think he needs some serious psychiatric help, and I think some considerable time a mental institution would be best suited for this situation.
