Well, I just wanted to vent. Who knows other people may agree with me to. I'm fed up with Republicans and Democrats. They pander to the fringe groups and special interest groups so much, we the people are stuck with someone representing 10% of our beliefs; yet we constitute 75% of the population. I truly wish their was a viable third party that cut down the middle of what the majority of Americans want. The Republicans and Democrats are far more interested in power than doing what is really right for the average American. I think if enough people banded together we could get representation that really represented us and candidates that care more about serving than their party.
On a side note I think there needs to be term limits in Congress. These politicians build up to much power and that is something that is a detriment. Let me know how you feel.

I have spoke with several people about forming a viable third party in different places and events - but it is hard to get people to dedicate to it because of the stereotyping and labels of such stereotypes that is common practice today. There is a very active libertarian group in Johnson City, and some folks in Knoxville as well.
I totally agree with you though. The Dems and Reps are completely dominating, and the "average american" is getting the shaft from it. If you will look into the history books, (and I wont type everything in because there are so many factors to it), but shortly after WWII, similar social and economic conditions existed in Great Britain that gave rise to the Labor Party which formed as a group to represent the "working class" brits who were not getting (what they felt to be) equal representation in the Conservative and Liberal parties. Thacker was the end of the classic Labor party, and then Blair came along to give rise to "New Labor" because of Thacker's tyrranical style politco.
In short, I truly feel it is time for a new party to form in america and we desperately need a third party to balance out the other two. Any more you have a bi-partisan power struggle where one party just wants to completely dominate all three branches of government so they can "steam-roll" the other's beliefs and systems for governmental and social organization. A third party would re-instill "checks and balances" in a major way, and get our political system back on track the way our forefathers meant for it to be.
